I continue to resist based purely on aesthetic qualms with the class, but an adventure/ "adventure sports" type of bike like your used Tiger 1050 would probably be the ideal do-it-all bike for the roads I like to ride. My own current "adventure sports" bike is a '78 Yamaha XS1100E that sees a fair amount of beat up pavement and gravel, and it does okay with it, my riding skill is definitely the limiting factor.
When you ride these roads, you come home energized and encouraged that the world is still a pretty great place.
"Don’t stop until you arrive at your sweet spot." Golden!
